Friend

This is a short ode to all of my close friends who have actually been more like family and shown me what difference it makes to have a friend like that!



To show fear the door,
To just reassure,
To care when you least expect,
To correct and reflect,
To throw out insecurity,
And bring about maturity,
To push you hard,
And deal with problems that bombard,
To calm down your ruffled feather,
To reinforce the 'hope' tether
